Successverse ASK Foundation launched its AI for Educators initiative to help higher education faculty and academic leaders understand and practically apply Artificial Intelligence in education. The first batch at IIT Madras Research Park marked an important step in the Foundation’s efforts to support institutions in navigating the rapidly changing AI landscape. The programme was designed not simply as an introduction to AI tools but as a practical exploration of how AI can enhance teaching, curriculum design, assessment, academic research, administration and institutional leadership. Delivered by CA V. Pattabhi Ram and Dr. B. Anbuthambi, the programme combined demonstrations, practical exercises and discussions around responsible AI adoption. Participants explored prompting techniques, AI-enabled teaching workflows, academic research applications, assessment possibilities and ethical considerations surrounding AI in education. A key focus was helping educators move from simply being aware of AI to becoming confident users and eventually institutional leaders in AI adoption. The success of the first batch reinforced the need for structured AI capability-building among educators. Building on this experience, Successverse has continued the initiative through subsequent editions, with the larger objective of helping Indian higher education institutions become more AI-ready, responsible and future-focused.
